Lincwelder 225 onan engine I have been wanting to get to work on it soon. I dont seem to be able to find a good service manual as this thing has been out of production for the last century I think. One day one of the workers boosted it to start and some way got the engine running backwards. After some fussing it fired up. This is not an issue as we have a NOS Onan with the correct tapered shaft sitting in the shop we plan to replace the Original Onan CCKA with. On these engines you can't put some oil in the cylinder and do a wet compression check (which would diagnose bad valves) because of the sideways opposing design. works well for hyd. This is the reason of the 24 volts. Water had gotten in to the cylinders thru the straight up exhausts on the Onan engine and froze hard enough to push the pistons down and bend the rods to the point of popping them out of the cylinders.
